Generation 1 – Chapter 10: When some flowers fade new glows
27/07/2010
I was just doing the dishes and backing a cake the day before Bucks birthday when i heard screaming voices outside. I couldnt hear what they was saying but i knew something was wrong, so i rushed out of the door. The yelling stopped when i came outside but i could see on Buck and Ashton that it had been something serious.
The next day they family gathered around the cake when we celebrated Bucks birthday. But it was first when he looked in the mirror at the bathroom he realised that he was getting older. By time his hair had turned grey but i still think hes handsome.
You know time is flying by when your youngest are becoming teens. Carmelo turned out to look like a real ladies man i reminded me self to learn him no woohoo before marriage.
Iris grew up to a beautiful teen to. She looked so cute in her dress with her hair tied in the neck. There where no imaginary friends to spot any more and she had gotten quite popular at school.
Ashton was getting weird since the fight between him and Buck. He never came home for dinner more and when he was home he didnt talk to anybody. Instead he just practised speaking in front of the mirror. Over and over again he presented himself for a reason i didnt know.
Now where all the children where teens i started on taking fishing trips again. I didnt had to stay at home for helping them whit althings anymore. I really enjoyed my free space but i missed having toddlers around.
Dahlia proudly called me over when i went home an evening.
“What do you think Mother,” she said as she showed me the portrait she had done of Buck.
“What do you think Mother,” she said as she showed me the portrait she had done of Buck.
“Its wonderfull my dear, your so creative and such a nice help around here,” i said proudly with a small tear in my eyeleach.
“Mother?” she asked then, “Can i paint one of you also? I would really love to do it.”
“Of course my dear, of course,” i said smiling.
Ashton took me to the library again so i could write the last of my story down, then I knew there werent many years left of my residence on the farm would end and i would turn 70 just like Buck had done. Soon enough Dahlia would be ready to take over after me. As i stood there at the library and Ashton had left for an appointment at school and small strain of my hair fell onto my face.
“Your hair is getting grey,” i whispered with a smile to my self, “maybe the time really is faster than i am.”
I reached out with my hand and loosened my hair. A pleasant full life with so many happy things to think back on. My eldest soon an young adult, and ready to take over my farm and start her own life. Ashton my next eldest who was quite a genius, who was so close friends with Niela so even if the farm wasnt anything for him he would have a future. And the twins so happy together. They never wanted to be apart from each other for very long. Four children i could be proud of.
That night i was laying in Bucks arm just smiling. He was still the love of my life, and we would be together until death take us apart.

Aww, what a beautiful way to end the generation!
Great chapter! Hmm, I wonder why Ashton and Buck were fighting. Can’t wait to see what happens in generation 2!
I want to know why they’re fighting too, the suspense is killing me!
Ooh, the last paragraph is very sweet. You are making me hooked on this one.
